About Our School

Greetings from Wilder Elementary School! We are excited about beginning the new school year and look forward to connecting with our students and their families.

Wilder Elementary has a long history in Grand Forks, being one of the first schools in the district, the current building was constructed in 1964 and remodeled following the 1997 flood. Relocatables were added to the grounds in 2016 to help serve a peak in enrollment. New carpet has been placed in the hallways and entries, which brings a fresh, clean look to our school.

The Wilder staff take great pride in our "small" school environment. Positive relationships among staff, students, and families are valued and promoted. Anne, our school office administrator, will be happy to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. Please call (701)746-2320 or stop by if we can help.

Most communication with parents will be via email, including our Wilder Newsletter, which is sent out electronically, 2-3 weeks before the start of the school year. Be certain to update your email address in Powerschool or call Anne with updates. The newsletter will also be available on our school website https: //www.gfschools.org/wilder.

Your child's education and well-being are our priority. We know that a "sense of belonging" is imperative to student success and we are implementing new ways to foster that sense at Wilder. More information will be shared soon! We look forward to partnering with parents to ensure our students grow and learn in Wilder - where they BELONG!
